    History

    Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business has been teaching business education for over 100 years and is accredited by the AACSB.  The business school holds their greatest importance in their contemporary curriculum that is up-to-date with the current trends of today’s global business environment. Robinson College of Business credits the school’s success to their outstanding faculty members who are experts in their respective fields; the large size of their business school, being the sixth largest in the United States; the talented, diverse student body from over 150 different countries; and the new MBA curriculum that provides a non-traditional approach to global business education while focusing on the complex, changing demands of the 21st century.

    The business school has a mission to the commitment of excellence in the creation and dissemination of knowledge in business.  They strive to prepare students to lead and pursue ethical, innovative and value-enhancing strategies in the culturally diverse and technologically advanced world. Robinson also serves their community through research, teaching and outreach activities and integration of multinational corporations and entrepreneurial enterprises within the curriculum. J.     Courses

    The MBA Programme is offered in full-time and part-time formats and concentrates on providing a solid management foundation for undergraduates and professionals.

    Professional MBA Programme

    The Professional MBA Programme is full-time, requires at least four years of work experience and is two years long.  The programme is divided into six semesters and held on multiple campus locations in the Alpharetta, Buckhead and Peachtree-Dunwoody facilities of GSU. The programme is designed to help students and executives develop cross-functional knowledge, leadership abilities and develop a comprehensive understanding of the complex global economy.  The part-time programme lets students finish the programme over the course of three to five years.  For the full-time programme, classes are held on evenings and Saturdays and are structured in cohort-based modules.  Below is a list of the cornerstone and functional core courses of the programme, provided by Robinson College of Business.

    Executive MBA Programme

    The Executive MBA Programme is a 17-month programme that is aimed to help executives take the next step in their careers and further develop and hone their leadership skills.  It is an accelerated programme and classes are held every other week on Friday and Saturdays at the Buckhead facility.  A two-week business residency trip is included with one of GSU’s partner cooperations. The programme is composed of one-one coaching, seminars, workshops, course assignment and other opportunities.  The curriculum is based around the areas of:

    Executive Education Certificate Programmes

    Executive Education Certificate Programmes are also offered at the business school in specialty area, general management and leadership and innovation.  The Leadership Development Programme is designed to help leaders progress through adaptive leadership courses and innovation and strategy sessions.  The programme offers a teaching method of personal reflection, peer consulting, interactive simulations and multi-media presentations.
