    History

    Founded by The King Faisal Foundation in 2002, Alfaisal University is one of the first private, non-profit research and teaching universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  They have a commitment to achieve international excellence with the support of national and international co-founders and distinguished Board Members.

    The Alfaisal University College of Business believes that the dynamic business environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is characterized by an increase in global competition, a demand for diversification, and the rapidly growing area of technology.  The goal of their business education is to provide students with the most up-to-date quantitative skills and leadership abilities, such as environmental scanning, financial analysis, change management, market research, technology management, competitor analysis and strategic management.

    Alfaisal University has a vision of providing an education filled with creation, dissemination and applicable knowledge in the fields of business, engineering, life sciences and medicine, and to develop knowledge-based economies along the way.  The university’s mission to provide a student-centered approach through a world-class graduate (and undergraduate) program in a vibrant, thriving center of commerce.

    The business school’s training begins with preparation in quantitative skills through classes in the areas of:

    Near the end of the program, students engage in courses that help them better understand the larger, global economic picture.

    The business school has designed their curriculum to feature small class sizes to increase student participation, problem-based pedagogy (such as case studies), encouragement of participation in clubs, internships, and research projects, and the development of quantitative, technological, and leadership competencies.

    Courses

    The Full-time MBA Program is 22 months long and requires students to complete 42 credits during the course of the program.  The program’s focus is on developing professional who can apply their knowledge to add value to organizations through collaborative leadership.   It is designed to help students develop a specific skill set in a single area of business that is required for higher levels of responsibility and is necessary to lead cross-functional teams.

    The purpose of the Alfaisal MBA program is to support students in learning equation theoretically, practically, and personally with the personalized guidance of an interactive mentor.  All of the courses involve individual and collaborative work, interactive classroom discussions on contemporary business issues, and variety of assignments, projects, tests and exams.  International Study Trips are also offered annually at the beginning of the summer break.

    The Executive Education Program was just recently launched in July of 2012 and offers customized programs and professional qualifications.  The program offers courses in the areas of:

    • Evaluate students and help in the development of weak .
    • Using different sources of training materials to enhance the training experience.
