Creating a women\u2019s category and encouraging more female entrants drew huge success \u2013 with women winning awards in 4 out of the 9 categories.<\/p>\n<p>2020 will see the awards champion business authors from diverse backgrounds \u2013 with a dedicated category for \u2018An Exceptional Book That Promotes Diversity\u2019. The categories also include: Start-Up Inspiration; Sales &amp; Marketing; HR &amp; Management; Sustainable Change; Leadership for the Future; Business Self-Development; Personal Development &amp; Wellbeing; Short Business Book; Specialist Business Book; International Business Book; and Best Business Book of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>The awards reflect the changing face of the publishing industry \u2013 and are open not only to books published through traditional routes but also self-published books. The only business book awards to do so.<\/p>\n<p>The shortlist will be announced on 15th January 2020 at an exclusive drinks reception at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in Paddington. The awards dinner will be held on 23rd March 2020 in London. Last year\u2019s event was a sell-out, attracting 250 of the most influential figures in business and publishing.
