The University of Buckingham and Reinvigoration Company Launch The First BSc in Operational Excellence<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cWe are particularly delighted to\u00a0launch the\u00a0BSc\u00a0in Operational Excellence with\u00a0Reinvigoration.\u00a0 The degree has\u00a0no existing equivalent and\u00a0its full flexibility will\u00a0strongly\u00a0benefit both employers and employees.\u00a0Indeed,\u00a0the work-based learning approach\u00a0will\u00a0enable employers to tailor the learning programme to the specific requirements of\u00a0their organisation;\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0online delivery will benefit employees who will be able to follow the course at the most appropriate time for them, wherever they are based to apply theory and deliver real business\u00a0benefits,\u201d said\u00a0Professor Pauline Found, <\/strong>Programme Director for the Professional Doctorate in Operational Excellence and Professor of Lean Operations Management at the University of Buckingham.<\/p>\n\u201cIt is the first time such a degree is launched\u00a0and we are very pleased with the result.\u00a0Partnering with Reinvigoration came as a natural decision:\u00a0not only do\u00a0their team benefit from very strong\u00a0OpEx\u00a0knowledge and capability, they also have unprecedented experience in developing\u00a0bespoke\u00a0operational management e-learning\u00a0programmes for public and private organisations.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cCoupling their business approach\u00a0and\u00a0digital capability with\u00a0our strong academic\u00a0OpEx\u00a0methodology and courses\u00a0has allowed us to design a degree that\u00a0will\u00a0support and increase\u00a0the use of Operational Excellence methodologies\u00a0in the workplace;\u00a0helping\u00a0businesses and public organisations\u00a0develop stronger operations\u00a0and\u00a0be\u00a0more competitive\u00a0in the long run.\u201d<\/p>\n
The\u00a0undergraduate\u00a0work-based degree, taken part-time over\u00a03-years\u00a0will be delivered through\u00a0online e-learning modules,\u00a0with\u00a0students\u00a0also\u00a0co mpleting\u00a0corporate projects\u00a0to put their new skills\u00a0directly\u00a0into practice, to the\u00a0full\u00a0benefit of\u00a0their employers.\u00a0 Some of the world\u2019s leading figures from the world of OpEx, such as Buckingham\u2019s own\u00a0John Bicheno, and\u00a0Darrell Mann, are involved in the development of the course content.<\/p>\n
