The survey findings demonstrate confidence and excitement for 5G, pointing to increasing adoption in the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving a secure, flexible,\u00a0and reliable\u00a0WAN edge\u00a0is more critical to business success than\u00a0ever,\u201d\u00a0says\u00a0Donna Johnson, Vice President of Product and Solution Marketing at\u00a0Cradlepoint.\u00a0\u201cAs organisations look to\u00a0adapt to\u00a0a\u00a0new normal\u00a0and get back to business,\u00a0Wireless WAN solutions\u00a0uniquely\u00a0enable\u00a0network\u00a0agility while\u00a0enhancing\u00a0security and\u00a0scale.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Traditional wired WANs are\u00a0complex,\u00a0slow to adapt,\u00a0and\u00a0applicable to only\u00a0fixed locations.\u00a0As businesses reinvent\u00a0the way they\u00a0serve their customers,\u00a0they\u00a0are\u00a0increasingly\u00a0turning to\u00a0Wireless WAN\u00a0technology\u00a0to\u00a0connect people, places,\u00a0and things anywhere. Key\u00a0findings\u00a0from the report include:<\/p>\n<h2>Wireless WAN\u2019s Rise to Dominance<\/h2>\n<p>The agility required by\u00a0pandemic-hastened\u00a0business transformation and the\u00a0growing number of\u00a0connected\u00a0devices\u00a0are\u00a0the top reasons\u00a0businesses are turning to\u00a0Wireless WAN solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Bandwidth is another\u00a0significant factor\u00a0in\u00a0the increased use of Wireless\u00a0WAN links.\u00a057%\u00a0of respondents said bandwidth is a reason for adopting broadband, and 49% said it was a reason for\u00a0choosing LTE.\u00a0Today\u2019s cellular networks are approaching fiber-fast\u00a0speeds\u00a0and\u00a0provide\u00a0rapid deployment\u00a0capabilities that are unparalleled.<\/p>\n<h2>LTE\u00a0Enables\u00a0Business Agility<\/h2>\n<p>As businesses scramble to\u00a0create new services and\u00a0find new ways to engage and serve their customers, WAN flexibility is essential.\u00a051%\u00a0cited the\u00a0flexibility of\u00a0LTE\u00a0to enable new services\u00a0as a top\u00a0reason\u00a0for\u00a0turning to\u00a0Wireless WAN\u00a0solutions.<\/p>\n<p>78%\u00a0of companies surveyed\u00a0either use or\u00a0plan to\u00a0use LTE\u00a0to\u00a0provide WAN or\u00a0internet\u00a0connectivity to\u00a0at\u00a0least some locations, but the use of LTE is also expanding beyond just the branch.\u00a053%\u00a0of companies are using it to connect in-vehicle networks, and 77% are connecting IoT devices. Additionally, 40% of respondents are using LTE to connect fixed locations, vehicles,\u00a0and IoT, making\u00a0LTE\u00a0the top choice\u00a0for\u00a0connecting\u00a0people, places,\u00a0and things across the rapidly expanding WAN edge.
