Returning Digital Week Online To Feature Blockchain Events For Innovators And Entrepreneurs

From Oct 9 – 16th, 2020, Digital Week Online will feature online events for innovators and entrepreneurs, including “The Babylon Project” blockchain hackathon and the “Global Blockchain Day”

Building on the success of the first global gathering in May 2020, which attracted 170 top-level speakers, 60+ professional investors and 1,500 attendees, Digital Week Online will be expanding to an even bigger community of innovators and entrepreneurs on 9th-16th October; “Keeping the tech world united – changing the future! Online. For everyone.”

The event will kick off with the “The Babylon Project”, an intense three-day (9-11th October) virtual blockchain hackathon that aims to democratize access to global innovation.

On Oct 12th, “Global Blockchain Day” will take place. In here, top experts will tackle topics such as DeFi, central bank digital currencies, blockchain for corporates, institutional investments and mining.

All participants then take a “virtual networking break” on Oct 13th by joining one of the best intuitive AI-powered business matching platforms.

Innovation Days run Oct 14-16th and are broken down by region for local tech gurus, mentors and investment community leaders to engage audiences on seven key tracks:

– Covid19 and its impact on economies
– Fintech
– Privacy & Cyber Security
– Digital Marketing
– Impact & Sustainability
– Corporate Innovation

Each track will be co-hosted by a reputable organization with deep expertise in that space. For example, the Privacy & Cyber Security track will be co-hosted by PrivacyRules which unites law firms and cyber security companies across 50 countries. Keeping faithful to their core community, Digital Week Online will also host a start-up competition and pitch sessions, where budding entrepreneurs will get feedback from top-investors and experts. Given the current global pandemic, the organization has waived the fees to participate.

The event comes back picking up on the success of its May event, which attracted 170 top-level speakers, 60+ professional investors and 1,500 attendees. In that occasion, the event featured some of the biggest names in the industry such as:

“To Help Enhance Mass Adoption”: Hong Kong To Host Blockchain Event Chain 2020

Hosted at the AsiaWorld – Expo in Hong Kong, blockchain series of conferences CHAIN 2020 will gather top industry experts on January 15 to produce a comprehensive source of blockchain knowledge and help enhance mass adoption of the new technology in the region

As the global economy evolves and the world enters a new decade, new technologies are becoming increasingly necessary for us. Among these tech we can find blockchain, a distributed ledger technology reshaping the world as we know it now but still quite unknown for the wider public. That is exactly the purpose of CHAIN 2020, a series of educational conferences whose main objective is to promote blockchain in the Asian region, its multiple applications for different areas of society and shed some light on this revolutionary technology.

With the emergence of blockchain and other technologies, the world is becoming more united, forming a truly decentralised network. Unfortunately, many people are left behind due to the relatively low level of adoption of concepts such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, or DLT. There is where Chain 2020 enters as it is launching a series of educational conferences promoting blockchain in the Asian region, and aiming to become one of the key players locally and on a global scale.

These conferences will be broken down into 4 categories: Blockchain Technology; Future of Money; Future of FinTech and AI & Big Data. All of them have been carefully studied to give a better picture of what this and other new technologies can offer in the near future while following the event’s main missions to: “produce a comprehensive source of blockchain knowledge, enhancing mass adoption of the new technology in the region.Become the most influential and mind-captivating platform aiming to create connections and partnerships that will have a long-lasting impact on the industry. And advocate blockchain initiatives in ASIA and support mass adoption of the technology to advance business, science, and society.”

Hong Kong, as an international and modern city that embraces new technologies, has been selected as the host city, and the world-renowned AsiaWorld – Expo as the main venue. There, on January 15, 30+ top industry leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, professors, decision makers and politicians will gather to share their expertise about blockchain before a crowd of 10,000+ participants.

Among these speakers there will be the likes of:

· David Hanson – Chief Executive Officer of Hanson Robotics

· Henri Arslanian – PwC Global Crypto Leader and Asia FinTech Leader

· Zoran Djikanovic – President of the Capital Market Authority in Montenegro

· Susan Oh – Chair of AI & Blockchain for Impact at UN General Assembly, CEO of MKR AI

· Richard Chen – Co-founder and CTO of WaykiChain, former Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley

· Dr. Ben Goertzel – CEO at SingularityNET

· Dinis Guarda – Globally-recognized Top Influencer in Blockchain, AI, and Fintech

· Jay Liang – Founder and Co-chairman of Hong Kong Blockchain Association

· Jorge Sebastiao – Huawei, CTO Ecosystem

· Jenny Yang – Founder and CEO of BlockGlobe

· Susanne Tarkowski Tempelhof – Bitnation Founder and Inventor

· Elene Grigolia – Representative of National Agency of Public Registry of Georgia and World Bank joint project

· Malik Kotadia – FinTech Expert, former SVP of Global Digital Transformation at Citibank

Blockchain is part of the called Distributed Ledger Technologies. Blockchain is a “write only” digital platform that records and verifies transactions. A blockchain is much like a database made up of rows, columns, and tables. Blockchain technology uses cryptography and digital signatures to prove identity, authenticity and enforce read/write access rights. All transactions within a block are visible so there is full transparency for every transaction. And, once an entry goes into a blockchain ledger, it cannot be altered or erased.

Blockchain’s most famous application is cryptocurrencies. In fact, Bitcoin was powered by the very first functional blockchain and most digital currencies that followed Bitcoin used blockchain too. But blockchain’s application doesn’t stop there. It can be used to securely record almost every transaction of data in almost every industry. Most of the major entities of the enterprise world have already created their own blockchain strategies, from Central Banks and financial institutions to energy suppliers.

Chain 2020, held in Hong Kong on January 15, will try to shed some light to blockchain and all its applications aiming to help enhance mass adoption of the new technology in Asia.

‘Ground-Breaking Festival’: Blockchain Live Returns to London Olympia In A Brand New Format

Taking blockchain mainstream, Blockchain Live is back and will be returning to London Olympia on 25th September as a festival of blockchain education. A one-day event, packed with engaging, thought-provoking and quality content, this year Blockchain Live will be moving away from the traditional exhibition model, in to a ground-breaking festival of content and collaboration.

This festival of education will not only be inclusive for everyone, as well as enable exhibitors and sponsors to network with a more targeted, tailored audience, but introduces all new content stages, immersive education features and unique networking concepts.

Unlike a lot of other blockchain events, Blockchain Live does not dilute its content with co-located technology shows, or overly crypto-focused content. Instead Blockchain Live focuses solely on the business potential of blockchain & DLT, encouraging grown-up conversations and debate on the topic of blockchain technology, whilst cutting through the hype and challenging the critics to educate, upskill and drive long-term thinking on the strategic benefit for businesses, governments and society.

The festivalisation of the event will deliver an open plan educational and networking environment, allowing for more hands-on learning, meaningful discussion and face-to-face meetings between attendees, exhibitors and sponsors, driving an honest discussion on the challenges and benefits associated with the technology’s adoption.

Industry experts are now joining the speaker line-up including blockchain expert, author and co-founder of the Blockchain Research Institute (BRI), Don Tapscott and Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, Margot James MP. BRI have partnered with Blockchain Live to bring a syllabus of global expertise and business insight to the UK, whilst further-cementing Blockchain Live as a leading authority on blockchain for business.

Don Tapscott, who will be delivering a keynote address on the Headliner’s Stage, said: “Blockchain technology is fundamentally transforming the way business, governments, and individuals interact with one another. Understanding blockchain technology is crucial to succeeding in the next era of digital disruption and Blockchain Live, the festival of education, is paving the way to help businesses move beyond proof of concept to real-world solutions.”

Sponsors, exhibitors and speakers will showcase the many benefits and capabilities of taking blockchain mainstream with five feature stages, hosting market-leading quality content from the forefront of industry and blockchain innovation: Blockchain Live Headliner’s Stage, Tech Connect Stage, Future Finance Stage, GovChain Stage and Crypto Impact Stage.

Blockchain live also introduces four immersive education features including the Developers Den, Blockchain in Action, Training Studio and Solutions Showcase. Furthermore, the event will have several new features including live debates, expert seminars, connections zone and live bar.

With more speakers and exhibitors to be announced in the coming weeks, Blockchain Live are spearheading the conversation on mass blockchain adoption through bringing the whole blockchain ecosystem together under one roof.

James Samuel, Portfolio Director at Blockchain Live said: “Blockchain Live is very excited to be back once again in London – the hub for frontier technologies, enterprise, investors and industry. We have purposely designed this year’s event to centre around a festival of content theme and the team have been exceptionally busy to provide this content in a variety of opportunities. Be it from our sponsors, exhibitors and speakers featuring across our five feature stages or our immersive educational features, it is safe to say Blockchain Live is going to be an action packed networking and content filled experience.”

Blockchain Live will take place on Wednesday 25th September at London Olympia, with doors opening at 9am. More thought leaders and speakers will be announced over the coming weeks in the run up to the event.
